"

You are not your failures, weight or material possessions. You are made up of tiny moments.

You are the person who rushed over to help the woman who dropped her coins on the pavement while others walked by or watched on.

You are not the door your father slammed when he left. You are the little girl who comforted her mother and my god, you held strength beyond your years.

You are the girl who built a shelter for the ants when it rained. And when you saw the baby bird who had fallen from the nest, you bet you were the first there to make a home in a shoebox and wait until the vet opened first thing in the morning.

You are not your past.

You have the spirit of an ancient Roman
warrior and a heart of good intentions that is worth gold.

You are still that little girl. You wouldn’t criticize her and burn her self esteem to the ground. You would build her up. Don’t forget to be gentle to yourself.

bonsaibones:

I’m in love with this gif. Everything about it. The rain drizzling. The candle flickering. The colors. I love it.
